This CACD Preparation Program – October 2025, led by Prof. Shaun Dowling — former professor at the Instituto Rio Branco and specialist in training Brazil’s diplomatic elite — combines TPS practice, biweekly writing assignments, and live Saturday sessions. The course is designed to build a strong foundation before the TPS exam is published, allowing candidates to focus on other areas of study and later refine their writing skills for Phase 2 with confidence and strategy.

This is Part 3 of the CACD preparation course.
It is the section when we work on exam strategy and practice. You will need to learn to deal with writing under pressure and doing TPS exams.

This is a 4 week course to focus on the composition for this year's 2024 Phase 2 exam.

This is the first part of the CACD prep course which will start with the basics of writing, start the students to write so we can correct and change the style. Also we will start the TPS

In this 2nd section you will start with the compositions and have plenty of practice then we will move on to how to deal with the difficult task of the translations and show the best strategy for you to score as many points as possible.
We will first focus on the introduction, then perfecting the organisation of your arguments through typical exam questions. Then the translation exercises will be based on how to score well using difficult Brazilian literature.
Part 3 will be developing exam practice and strategy.
